There's a very real version of the future where we live to 120. But what's the point if we don't have great people to spend those extra years with?
A couple weeks ago, we hosted our first Longevity + Bio Outcove, bringing together many of the most accomplished scientists, founders and investors working at the edge of human health and longevity. We talked about everything from diagnostics, therapeutics and preventative medicines to peptides, AI, sleep, nutrition, and what the next decade of healthcare could look like.
Between Sessions
But like every Outcove, the most interesting part wasn't what happened on the agenda. It was what happened between it:
- The conversation at dinner that turned into a new idea.
- The introduction between two people who should have known each other years ago.
- The morning walk that went an hour longer than planned.
- The debate that completely changed someone's perspective.
The Belief
Jess and I started Outcove around a simple belief: The right people, in the right environment, with enough time together can change the trajectory of your life.
Longevity felt like the perfect topic because ultimately, living longer isn't just about optimizing biomarkers. It's about creating more time. And understanding what successful people are really chasing often comes down to exactly this.
More Time
More time to build. More time to explore. More time with the people you love. More experiences with people who fill your soul.
These are human skills that make us irreplaceable in any era. The ability to connect, to be present, to invest in relationships that matter.
And hopefully, more weekends like this one.
The Takeaway
Longevity isn't a solo pursuit. Living longer only matters if you're surrounded by people who make those extra years worth living. The real breakthroughs don't happen in scheduled sessions. They happen at dinner tables, on morning walks, and in unexpected conversations.
If you're optimizing for a longer life, don't forget to optimize for the people in it.
Start building your community now. The connections you make today could define the decades ahead.
